The first session I like to spend extra time with new clients so it is usually about one hour and 15 minutes long. After the first session, sessions are 55 minutes long.

I am out of network for all insurance companies. I can provide you with a statement to bill your insurance if reimbursement is possible through your insurance company or if you wish to use a Medical Services Account.

My hours are: 10:30 A.M.-7:00 P.M. and my two psychotherapy groups meet 6:30-8 P.M. Tues and Wednesday. Special requests for an appointment time depends upon availability. I do not work on week-ends.

It depends upon the issue and how the client wishes to work on their problem. I can work short term or work long term in-depth. Sometimes I meet with a client for just a few sessions and I also do longer term work lasting several months.

I have been trained in a number of theories. For social anxiety I use insight Behavioral Therapy, Behavior change through assignments, insight oriented talk therapy, empathy and support, intersubjective-relational theory. My approach is humanistic and interpersonal. I work with social anxiety, depression, anxiety, work stress, relationship issues, codependency, loss, and life transitions such as marriage or moving in, retiring, new child in the family, or moving to a new geographical area.

  • This psychotherapy work is personally designed for you to make positive change in relationships, behavior patterns which are not working well for you, and self-esteem. We will also work on  your interpersonal skills and help you feel less distress and stress and loneliness in your life.

For group psychotherapy, my approach is Yalom-style Interpersonal/relationship/ process. I was personally trained by  Dr. Irvin Yalom for 3 years. I have studied many other approaches through the American Group Psychotherapy Association. (AGPA).
